AAWSAP and AATIP
With support from Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, the Defense Intelligence Agency awarded about $22 million to Robert Bigelow's company to study advanced aerospace threats, a program called AAWSAP. The name AATIP is often used for the same effort. It produced technical papers on topics like warp drives and wormholes, and investigated some UFO reports. Official funding ended around 2012.
