Blue Book Special Report No. 14
Under Air Force contract, Battelle analyzed about 3,200 reports from 1947 to 1952. It found that the better the quality of a report, the more likely it was to remain 'unknown,' with roughly a fifth of all cases unexplained. Yet the report concluded there was no evidence of craft beyond known technology.

What the record shows, what people say, and the best explanation available so far.
What's documented
- The full report is public.
What's claimed
- Its own numbers contradict its conclusion.
Best explanation so far
Both sides cite it. Skeptics note that 'unknown' means not enough data, not proof of anything exotic.
