The Kelly–Hopkinsville Goblins

Catalog FG-024When August 21–22, 1955Where Near Kelly, Kentucky

A farm family's night-long standoff with small, glowing creatures.

The Sutton family and friends ran to the Hopkinsville police station saying small, silvery creatures with big ears and glowing eyes had surrounded their farmhouse for hours. They said they fired shotguns and the creatures floated away unhurt. Police found bullet holes but no creatures. The case helped popularize the phrase 'little green men,' though the witnesses described them as silver.
