The Gemini 7 'Bogey'
During the two-week Gemini 7 mission, Frank Borman radioed that he had a 'bogey' in sight, along with a field of hundreds of small particles. The word comes from military pilot slang for an unidentified aircraft, and UFO writers later held it up as an astronaut sighting. The transcript was included in the first PURSUE release in May 2026.

What's documented
- The air-to-ground transcript.
- Its inclusion in PURSUE Release 01 (May 8, 2026).
What's claimed
- NASA astronauts encountered an unknown craft.
Best explanation so far
James Oberg's analysis of the orbits points to 'a brighter-than-average piece of booster-associated debris,' most likely the rocket stage that launched them. Borman himself later said it was not a UFO.
