The UAP Disclosure Act
Senators Chuck Schumer and Mike Rounds introduced the UAP Disclosure Act in July 2023. It proposed a presidentially appointed review board and government power to take control of recovered technology. The final defense bill kept a requirement that agencies send UAP records to the National Archives, but dropped the review board. Lawmakers have reintroduced versions since, including amendments in 2025.
